D.’s works are distinguished by subtle lyricism and compositional rhythm, they reflect harmonious and poetically emotional world perception of the artist. Lyricism determine the emotional content of such series as Around the Southern Urals, started in the 2nd half of the 50s, and paintings May Birch Forest, Autumn. Electric Train, etc. Since the 2nd half of the 60s, the artist creatively processes and applies the painting methods of impressionism: a light fractional smear gives the paintings airiness and tremulous emotionality. His works in the 70s look much more decorative and cheerful due to colours choice. A street in Ufa was named after D.
