NAPALKOV, Valentin Vasilievich (b.30.7. 1941 in Gorky), Mathematician. Associate Member of RAS (1990), Acad. of AS RB (1991), Dr.Sci. (Phys.‑Math.) (1977), Full Professor (1980). Awarded with the 2nd Class Order for Merits to the Fatherland (1999). Graduated from the Gorky University (1964). Since 1971 at the Institute of Mathematics (in 1988–2015 as Dir.), at the same time since 1972 at BSU, in 1991–93 Vice‑President and in 2006–11 Acad.‑Secr. of Phys.‑Math. and Eng. Sciences Department of the AS RB, since 1996 at USATU. His research work is dedicated to the theory of complex analysis and its applications. N. has proved the theorem of holomorphic functions continuation on tubular sets, created an effective method of problem solution for convolution equations in multidimensional spaces. He is the founder of the scientific school for multidimensional complex analysis.
