YAMALETDINOV Mavletbay Baygildeevich (b. 5.3.1947), writer, translator, kuraist. Folk sesen (2018). Ya’s repertoire includes the classical pieces uzun-kui, kubairs. Author of the novel “The Circle” (2006), devoted to Kubagush-sesen. Based on Old -Turkic written sources, Ya. created a dastan (epic) “Kul-Tegin”; he converted the Bashkir epic “The Last of the Sartayev Family” to the form of a dastan, etc. The author of the documentary script “Song of the Soul” (film studio “Bashkortostan”, 2013), dedicated to A.A. Sultanov. He recorded rare folk songs for the Bashkir radio fund. The compiler of the collections “Repertoire of a kuray player” (1994), “Play, kuray, the strings of the heart” (2005), where Ya. notated about 20 works of kuray player T. Kh. Latypov.
